DCT class offerings have changed just a bit. We hope we have made the process easier to understand and easier to sign up and easier to manage.
DCT offers the following options for classes for training: Membership/Program of Study, Enrollment, Drop-Ins, Private Lessons
Dance Training Programs
These programs are designed as a cumulative experience. Though all dancers do NOT begin at level I, all dancers are evaluated based on a matrix of skills to properly place the student at the right level. These programs are based on creating a versatile classically trained dancer.
The matrix is broken down based on the following: skills/technique, vocabulary, musicality and presence/artistry
Dancer Training Program:
All dance is based on ballet and the Dancer Training Program requires the students to take a specific number of ballet classes and then as they develop add on classes to help their development and electives to help with versatility. Students who complete the program should be ready to audition for any dance program or dance company at a professional level.
We offer a membership for our ballet training program levels II-5. You have access to all classes at your level. We require the classes below but if you want to try a drop-in class you can at no extra cost!
The Levels and required classes are broken down below:
Petites= Creative Movement 2 times a week
Level I = Ballet 2 days a week and Tap
Level II = Ballet 3 days a week, Tap and 1 elective
Level III= Ballet 4 days a week, Modern, Tap, 1 or 2 electives and 2 Strength and Conditioning (9 classes a week)
Level IV= Ballet 4 days a week, Modern, Tap, 1 or 2 electives and 3 Strength and Conditioning (10 classes a week)
Level IV= Ballet 4 days a week, Modern, Tap, 2 electives, 3 Strength and Conditioning (11 classes a week)
On our Wellness Living Portal you will purchase this as a product in our store OR when you select the ballet level under “enrollments int the EVENTS the option for a membership will pop up at check out.
Musical Theatre Training Program-Musical theatre includes 3 disciplines dance, acting, `. Training all three disciplines is essential to succeeding as a performer. We offer private and group classes for this program.
Acting classes with our sister company Actors Center for Training. Vocal training can be done at ACT/DCT or we have a list of preferred vocal coaches.
Have a kiddo who hasn’t taken a dance class in years and has rediscovered MT? Training for local shows, college, high school, summer programs or Broadway? Our training program will get you there!
Our MT membership requires the following classes. If you can’t make one? Simply drop in to any available drop in class on a different day to catch up! The membership offers flexibility and intense training. We are a one stop shopping place!
Adult/Youth= Ballet 3 classes (Drop In Ballet class or one of the multi-level classes)/ Foot in the Door/Acting class/ Elective
(You may sub 1 Ballet class for the following: Modern or Latin)

Ballet Training Program
Student who train at DCT are training at the highest level. Our level 5 trains at the pre-professional level. Ballet is a discipline and requires commitment and dedication. We keep our dancers safe and healthy. The following are the required courses for ballet.
Pre-Ballet= Creative movement 2 classes a week
Level I= Ballet 2 days a week and Tap
Level II= Ballet 3 days a week
Level III/Pre-Pointe= Ballet 4 days a week and Modern and 2 Strength and Conditioning
Level IV= Ballet 4 days a week, Modern, 3 Strength and Conditioning
Level V= Ballet 4 days a week, Modern, 3 Strength and Conditioning
On our Wellness Living Portal you will select “Enrollments” and click the “Event” for the correct ballet level. Then you will add Modern and Strength and Conditioning as classes. It is cheaper to purchase a 2 Class- Class Card for Modern and
Drop-In classes can be bought one at a time or in class cards! We have a 1, 2 and 3 class card option. A few of our drop-in classes offer a performance opportunity. DCT gets requested to perform around the city and we also produce two shows a year. Performing is a crucial part of training and as a member or our performing company we offer a professional experience.
Those classes are do not require attendance until 6 weeks prior to the performance. If you want to be in one of our shows as a soloist or small group we can arrange private coaching sessions and choreography for that!
On our Wellness Living Portal the Class Cards are in the Store as a product. After that you can sign up for a class under Classes and it will automatically subtract from your card purchase.
DCT offers private lessons and coaching in all disciplines.
Our instructors offer private coaching. You may request a time but all private lessons MUST be confirmed with the instructor.
To reserve a weekly spot 4 privates must be paid up front. If you do not you forfeit your time to other students. There are no refunds for no-shows and make-ups are at the discretion of the instructor. If an instructor cancels you will receive a make-up. No refunds.
If you are in a show to reserve your spot you must financially commit or it becomes open for other students
One Half Hour Class= 30.00 (Only offered at instructor’s discretion)
One Hour Class= 40.00. ( No more than 2 people can share a private)
One Hour Private 3-4 people= 100.00 (over 5 people we can schedule a regular class.
